Urban Clothing

Many trends in fashion follow the clothes and appearances of those in the music industry and indeed the hip-hop genre is no different. In fact, “urban fashion” has developed its very own sub-culture.

When we think about urban fashion, many of us who have more than a passing interest will be able to name dedicated designers but that wasn’t the case back in the early 80s. In that time it was most closely associated with major sportswear companies such as Nike and Adidas, supported by the fact that Run-DMC had a hit called “My Adidas”. Trainers, sneakers and plenty of bling was seen as a must for those dedicated followers of fashion. A signature hairstyle, one that broke boundaries was also seen as essential if you wanted to look the part!

As hip-hop grew in popularity so too did its legitimacy in terms as being recognised as a music genre in its own right. As this happened, urban fashion became more widely recognised and noted by brands outside of the sportswear industry. Urban fashion was more than just a passing craze, it was something that was here to stay.

In the beginnings, the styles could be closely associated with an African influence with artists such as Will Smith wearing green and gold associated with the continent. As we moved into the 1990s, Gangsta rap started to emerge and become part of the fashion. A street appearance was starting to develop influenced by both gang and prison cultures. Baseball caps, baggy jeans that ran low, T-shirts and sports jerseys were now taking over from the highly shaped and styled original image. Later in the decade, some started to look to a more refined look, with double-breasted suits and dress shoes now becoming part of the necessary clothing.

As we moved into the new millennium, urban fashion started to enter more of the mainstream and indeed had a wide variety of influences including those outside of hip-hop. As a result high street chains started to include the clothes as part of their ranges and various artists from the music industry started to develop their own lines of clothing including Russell Simmons’ Phat Farm and Jay-Z’s Rocawear.

In the modern era of the fashion, we are all familiar with the main brands, many of which are still associated with the sportswear industry. Some like to show plenty of skin whilst others are certainly far more conservative. However, whatever your taste for both men and women alike, no look would be complete without the correct accessories. Urban fashion is very much about the glitz and glamour of living larger than life.

Thigh High Boots For Women

These trendy boots are typical in every ladies shoe collection, and they are worn during certain occasions based on how they are made. For example, heavy wool fitted thigh high boots are for the winter and cold seasons while light laced boots may be for the summer and outdoor activities. There are, however, other that are multi-purpose wear, those that can be worn in the office, at home and they do not have a specific season.

The first reason is that comfort and security that comes with wearing these boots. With them, a lady feels indestructible, not the weather, not the occasional fear of bad shoes, nothing can scare you. These are the proper wear when you do not know what to expect, and they give you that confidence.

These shoes have other advantages such as they fit well, they can hardly come off, and therefore they are best for rigorous occasions such as hikes and outings. Boots that come with laces all the way up, make you feel like the shoe is part of you and you can even run and do rigorous exercises with them.

They come in different designs when it comes to the heel part; there are those that are wedged, flat heeled, high heeled and all manner of heels. Based on how you want it then, you can have it. For example for the short ladies in need of gaining an extra height at that social event, then the more heeled ones are your take.

Women love fashion, and many celebrities and models have been wearing these boots for ages. It, therefore, cannot hurt for a lady to look like her favorite celebrity by wearing the same type of footwear she saw her wearing at a red carpet event. These are some of the best fashionable shoes in the market all over the world.

Colorfully Dressed for the Summer

Goodbye to the darker shades

In keeping with the riot of colorful flowers blooming everywhere, light and bright colors are in. Are men and boys going to wear those delicate shades of yellow and green, blue and orange? Yes, and why not? You certainly will not wear the darker shades and certainly not black. That might turn out to be dangerous with excessive heat and active, busy lifestyles out in them could result in a stroke. Don’t forget to keep sufficiently hydrated with a variety of liquids.

Put away those heavy costumes and boots

It is time for the dry-cleaned woolens to rest before they are back in action later after you have perspired for months. While you sweat it out now and take to ACs and coolers, it is a relief to get away from those heavy suits, the footwear, and the warm underclothing. While those late night parties in the cold were enjoyable, it is a different carefree attitude now. Let go for the moment and forget those stories of the homeless freezing to death on snowy nights after sleeping on the pavement.

Cotton and silks will do the trick

Whether shirts or trousers, kurta sets with waistcoats, casual or formal wear, cotton will see you through the summer. If you didn’t try it before, give it a splash of color like the spectrum that comes from the light. Office wear may be more subdued with grays and browns, though traditions are changing. Plain shades or printed designs are very much in vogue and elevate feelings, bringing pep and zing to the productivity.

Silks can attain an ocean of fantasy and strike the right note in cementing relationships or making a fashion statement. Were you thinking of the ornate parties on official occasions where you meet up with some very privileged guests? Don’t forget to put on your best manners and speak the right things.
Working out

Style in Winter for Curvy Girl

Belted Coat
Belted coats perfectly define your curve by giving you a nice silhouette. The good thing is that it magnificently flaunts your curves irrespective of how many layers you have wrapped around.

Tights with a stretch
Grab a pair of tights with a lot of elastics. More elastic gives it more than normal stretch and a better fit close to your body. If there is more space between the tights and your body as it usually happens in the crotch, you will have more discomfort. Stretchable tights are both stylish and comfortable.

High-waisted skinny jeans
You can create numerous styles with a pair of high-waisted skinny jeans. Tuck it inside a pair of boots or wear it with a tunic – length tops for a more casual and relaxed look. The high waist leaves its impact by accentuating the ingrained girth of your waist.

You can tuck in your sweaters so that your waist does not get lost. You may also bring back those street styles stars usually swear by. Tuck in a loose top into your skinny jeans just a bit in the front and your waist looks super cool.

Go contrast with bold colors or prints
If you love your humongous curves, especially those around your arms, chest or booty, wrap it with a bold color or print. This will give you a flawless look with a bit more emphasis on your curves.

Fashion Hacks During Summers

Avoid flimsy fabrics: We cannot help that we have to stay covered in thick jackets all through winters, which leaves us with summers to flaunt our wardrobe. Apparently, this also means that we get obsessed with fashion and do not check the fabric we are wearing. Flimsy fabrics stick to the body when we start sweating and leave us irritated, not to ignore the skin rashes they cause.

Let go of the denim: No matter how much you love your jeans, summers call for loose trousers in skin friendly materials. Denim is thick and causes perspiration resulting in discomfort. Switch to trousers for men / women and feel the difference this summer season.

Avoid embellishments: Beads and metals on the garment weighs down the clothes, making them stick to the body, ultimately trapping body heat. Opt for embroidery if you have to wear something rich-looking.

Go for natural fabrics: Nothing looks and feels better than cotton in summers. It is more breathable than materials like polyester or rayon, is better at absorbing sweat, dries quickly, and allows air to circulate well. You can also go for linen or viscose which are again, gentle on the skin and great for summers.

Create the Perfect Outfit

First of all, you should make sure you have the basics when it comes to articles of clothing. When shopping, you should make sure that you have several different styles of jeans. There are many styles that include boot-cut, flare, skinny jeans, and have a different color wash. Jeans are the first thing you need in a wardrobe and is an essential to any outfit. Make sure that you buy the style of jeans that is the most comfortable for you, and that you will be the most confident wearing.

After you have a couple pairs of your favorite jeans, you need to also buy a couple pairs of neutral colored pants. These are pants that you will be able to pair with anything for a special or fancy occasion, whether it is a job interview or a date.

Lastly, for pants wise, you need a couple casual skirts of different styles and patterns that can be essential for either a formal or informal setting. Skirts are one of those pieces of clothing that you can throw on with a cute tank top, or blouse and makes a perfect outfit in seconds.

Moving onto tops, in my closet I have a section of plain t-shirts. These t-shirts are awesome to wear if you are going to put on a cardigan and run to the store, or you have a statement necklace that you are just dying to wear. These t-shirts are great since they come in different styles like v-neck, or scoop neck, and can easily be extremely casual with a pair of jeans, or dressed up for a special occasion.

Next are sweaters! Sweaters are such a good investment. Sweaters can be expensive depending on where you shop, but they are so worth it. Especially in the winter months, throwing on leggings and sweater is a comfy chic look that will keeping you looking and feeling great. Sweaters can also be paired with jeans and cute booties for a more put-together look. Sweaters are a one of those articles of clothing that can be more eye-catching and of brighter colors since they aren’t usually over accessorized.

Last, but definitely not least, cardigans, jackets, and hoodies. I live in these. Honestly, if I am just lounging around the house or running errands, I will always be wearing a cardigan or hoodie. Hoodies are usually neutral colors since they accent the undershirt, but they can really dress up, or be worn in the colder months to still showcase the tank or t-shirt you have on underneath. They are warm, and so comfortable, but also makes it look like you spent hours getting ready.

Sexy Red Bottom Pumps

Many have often gone back to try and find out the inspiration behind this shoe design but it fervently follows Louboutin’s mission of making the women appear sexier and their legs look longer. He was keen to change the norm of having black or brown soles on women shoes. The red lacquer is all that he designed to be added on to the sole hence giving it an attractive appearance.

· With this, they are the best as they adorn your legs with that extra beauty making you feel more confident and able to walk taller.

· Their popularity gives them the ability to draw all the attention to you, every woman would definitely want this.

· The other aspect that adds much value to them is the fact that they are available in many styles hence meeting every woman’s taste and style.

· They are also available in many stores and even online, you only need to know your shoe size and make the perfect selection then order and the shoe will be delivered to you. The best way to buy them at an even more discounted price is by ordering them in wholesale which is available.

Denim Trends For Men

White Denim. Another risky approach, but it can really pay off. You really must know what to wear with, in order not to look like a trash banker or a bored desk-clerk on vacation. This style is fitted to those who want to look more like a gigolo or a bad-boy. It goes really well with a leather motorcycle-jacket or with clothes that allow the wearer to show some enhanced musculature.

Distressed Denim. The distressed jeans theme is still present and chances are that it will still stay with us for a long time. Although many contest it due to its hobo-ish apparel, it may go surprisingly well with some clothes. You can choose to display your entire plethora of bleached, ripped and raw=edged distressed denim in a smart and creative way. Keep everything else simple and what’s too much is too much: avoid overly-ripped pants.

90’s are back. There is a general trend of going back to the roots of fashion and denim jeans make no exception. The 90’s were a great period for denim jeans and many fashion designers choose to revive the style that were once then. Classic grey wash denim jeans are making a heavy comeback. Classic 90’s are characterized by a looser fit and a pale finish. What you should be worried about when you choose to buy vintage denim are the cut and the matching colors for the rest of the wardrobe.

Ideal Suiting Fabrics

Breathability: this is an important trait. Over the summer, one may get sweaty. In the winter, you may have to run around in an effort to try keeping warm. You should choose the ideal material for different situations.

The Softness of fabric: no one wants itchy pants or the trapped feeling where it is too tight to even move in a jacket that is over-starched. The best way to avoid this is to teach our men about the available options.

Wool

This is a very popular choice because of its aesthetic value and versatility. The material is natural and breathes quite well. It can be worn during the day or even the night. It does not wrinkle and it is soft. Anyone needing a slimming and lighter material should look for another option though. The different types of wool include worsted, merino, cashmere, flannel, and tweed.

  1. Worsted wool: this is a textile that is quite compact. It is durable and very smooth as well. The wool is combed into a process called carding so as to eliminate the brittle and short fibers leaving longer strands. This is what is spun and it comes up with a toughness that is very smooth. This can then be woven to come up with fresco, tweed, and flannel cloths.
  2. Cashmere: this can be a blend or on its own and it is a luxurious option. This may lead to a suit that is shiny. It is ideal for anyone who does not mind anything rather fancy. It may not be the best for official work, but always the best for pleasure. This is a great way to look luxurious.

Cotton

This is another material that is very popular. It comes from the fibers of a plant. These suits will breathe and move very well. However, because of the nature of the material, they do crease very easily making your suit look so sloppy. They are an ideal choice because they are very soft. They are so ideal because of the softness even though the luxurious options are definitely wool.

Here are some of the things you need to know to understand why polarized sunglasses are more than just cool:
