She was the legendary player who was the year-ending World No. 1 singles player in 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1980, and 1981. In total Evert won 157 singles championships and 32 doubles titles and set a record for career winning percentage.

Early Life:

Chris Evert first arrived on 21 December 1954, in Boca Raton, Florida, to the family of Evert.She is the daughter of Jimmy Evert and Colette Thompson. Talking about her father, he was a professional tennis coach and Chris Evert started having tennis lessons from her father at the age of five.She was taught the basics of tennis on Holiday Park’s clay courts, where she received her famed two-handed backhand.

She graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale in 1973 and next entered the Auburn University in Alabama with a full athletic scholarship for tennis.When she was a child, the constant practice promoted Chris Evert match the No. 1 junior athlete in the ‘Under 14’ group. She also gained the nationwide championship Girls(Under 16) for tennis in 1970.
