Christian Michael Longo is a convicted murderer who engaged his crimes in the U.S. state of Oregon to his wife and 3 children. His evidence described in the Michael Finkel book ‘True Story’ and it related film adaptation.
Christian Longo was born on Jan 23, 1974, in Michigan, and was raised with strict Jehovah’s Witness parents. Longo was active in the church at the small age and instructed in the door-to-door ministry for which Jehovah’s Witness members are well known.
Regarding his career, Longo was a wanted man in association with the murder of Mary Jane (wife) and their three children. Later the body of his 4-year-old son named Zachery was found on Dec19, 2001, divers located that of his 3-year-old daughter named Sadie. Mary Jane and their 2-year-old daughter named Madison were found 5 days later. After he escaped the United States, he was seen in Cancún on Dec 27, 2001, at a hotel. The following day, in Lincoln County, Oregon, a federal arrest warrant announced in the United States District Court for the District of Oregon charged him with multiple counts of aggravated murder and illegal flight. He departed the hotel on Jan 7, 2002, and was arrested 6 days later without incident in the small city of Tulum, Quintana Roo, around 80 miles south of Cancún. He was arrested into U.S. custody at George Bush Intercontinental Airport on Jan 14, 2002. He was punished to death in 2003.
Years later, Longo admitted to being a narcissist in a message he wrote to KATU-TV, a Portland, Oregon, television station. He composed that he finally started “studying what a psychologist told I was and came to terms with it, almost completely agreeing that he was right…his summing-up was the narcissistic personality disorder which he called ‘compensatory’ – primarily self-centeredness related to a disabled core sense of self.”
When he used the name of Michael Finkel, the former New York Times reporter who next chronicled their experiences in his memoir True Story, next adapted into a 2015 film.
Longo is currently confined on death line at Oregon State Penitentiary, where capital punishment is legal, but there has been a moratorium on executions since 2011.
Talking if his career, Longo and MaryJane Baker met in the church of parking lot, then they like each other and decided to married finally they were married when he was 19 and she was 25.
Longo began feeling financial problems that would trouble him and his family for many years. In Dec 2001, after Longo and his family had departed from their own home in Ohio, the bodies of his wife and three children were found in Oregon. Longo was found hiding in Mexico under an assumed name and was returned back to the U.S. for trial. He was found criminal and is currently on death row. A film related on his sordid life hit theaters in April 2015.
